01
Live
A voice layer for any website.
Visitors ask questions out loud, hear the answer, and have the site navigate and fill forms for them. Owners add it with one script tag. The screen here plays a short demo conversation.

02
Live
AI candidate screening and voice interviews.
An AI interviewer calls candidates, talks to them by voice, scores them against the role and writes up the call for the recruiter. Candidates use the same engine to practice. $2 per AI interview.

03
Prototype
A standing team of AI specialists for a solo founder.
Developer, architect, QA, program manager, product, marketing and sales agents, each with its own memory and its own model. You meet them by voice, they argue, and the developer agents ship work between meetings. Step into the room: the seat that is speaking lights up.

06
Internal tool
A QA loop that interviews the interviewer.
Synthetic candidates and personas stress-test CapCheck's voice agents. LLM-judge rubrics and assertions grade every run, and everything is logged to Langfuse. The terminal shows a live-style run log.

07
Running
Ad creatives that make themselves.
A pipeline that produces a new still or short reel for CapCheck and Vopio every few hours: one feature per piece, a hook cover, and a spoken question answered in a second voice. The monitor cycles recent outputs.

Prototype
Practice automation for outpatient clinics.
Prior authorization, referral intake and an AI voice front desk, with an explicit AI safety rulebook. Built with the CMS-0057-F prior-auth mandate (January 2027) in view.

Physiotherapy clinic software with AI session notes.
The therapist talks through the session and the note writes itself. Scheduling, patients and documentation for small physio practices.

In progress
Structured data out of referral faxes.
Referral faxes arrive at a physio clinic every day. This reads them with open-source OCR and a local LLM and hands back structured fields, with no per-page API bill.

11
Proof of concept
Organization-wide context any LLM client can use.
Markdown as the source of truth, daily and weekly refresh jobs, access control, an audit log and an MCP server. The context stays portable across models, with no vendor lock-in.

Prototype
Planning corporate onsites in one place.
Agenda, people, rooms and logistics for a company onsite, built as a quick prototype.

13
Concept
A voice-first kitchen helper for iOS.
Hands busy, eyes on the pan. Ask a question, hear the answer, let it keep the timers.

14
Program
Training job seekers to work with AI.
A three-session program and workshop series on using AI through a job search, from research to interview prep.

Something is being built behind the cloth.
The lab usually has one of these. It gets a name when it survives contact with users.
Reading
04
Classical and generative AI, side by side.
Two toolboxes, one team. Most products on this floor use both: a classical model where the problem is well-posed, a generative one where the interface is language, and the product engineering to ship either.
05
Active experiments and where they stand.
The board on the west wall lists what is being built right now and what it is waiting on. It changes every few weeks; that is the point.

CAP LABS LLC is an independent AI product lab in San Jose, California.
We build quick prototypes, put them in front of real users, and decide fast: scale it or shelve it. Some installations on this floor are products with paying customers. Others are prototypes that taught us something and stopped there. Both belong here.
